When We Are Closed
Out of hours medical cover is provided by an emergency GP cover.
Between 6pm and 8am on weekdays, and at weekends and Bank Holidays, your call to the Medical Centre will be connected to a recorded message giving you the number to ring to obtain urgent medical advice.
A doctor will speak to you, either to give advice or to make an arrangement for you to attend a Primary Care Centre or to organize a home visit if necessary. Please use this service only in an emergency.
Local pharmacists in Menston and Guiseley can advise and treat for minor complaints.
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
